Elizabeth Ralph
Elizabeth Ralph
Elizabeth owns a log house in the rural town of Beersheba Springs, Tennessee. This small town on the Cumberland Plateau has a population of about 550 people and many of the women have helped to support their families by making beautiful quilts, some of which are shown here. When furnishing her log house, Elizabeth wanted to bring the colours and beauty of Tennessee quilts into her home and at the same time, support the local crafts people. She continues to collect the finest of the quilts made in this area and now offers them to quilt lovers all over the United States and Canada.

Untitled Document The king size quilt, Homespun, I purchased from Elizabeth Ralph this week is absolutely beautiful. It is just as pictured, and I thank Elizabeth for taking the effort and time to send the extra close-up pictures and description as well as answering questions. She was very prompt and complete with her replies. The quilt is all hand quilted to perfection, no machine top stitching. It is a real treasure! I am a quilter myself so I can appreciate all the time consuming, meticulous handwork. I have made all sizes of quilts over the years, but at my age, I don't feel I can tackle a king size and get it to completion, so buying this one is a nice alternative for me. I am still making smaller items like lap size, wall hanging and twin, and I may contact you at some point if I have one to sell. Thank you for your lovely web site and way to connect with quilters. - Z. Hilton,Tucson, Arizona

Double Wedding Ring - Antique White
Size: 92 x 103 inches (Queen Size)
Description: Antique White - Entirely pieced using one color of fabric. This stunning quilt is all hand quilted - quite a sophisticated and unique piece. The very name Double Wedding Ring inspires thoughts of romance and wedlock, but the use of the antique white in the craftsmanship of this quilt adds to the sentimentality. Certainly this scalloped-arc quilt may be given to celebrate impending marriages or to commemorate a special anniversary. As an added bonus, two matching pillow shams will arrive with this quilt. - The accurate color was difficult to photograph and is best depicted in the detailed views.
The front of this quilt is an ivory white. The back is a snow white.
Technique: Hand Quilted
Fabrics: Cotton
Batting: Cotton

Double Wedding Ring with Dutch Dolls in Corners
Size: 69 x 87 inches (Child, Twin or Double/Full Size)

Flower Garden

Flower Garden
Size: 102 x 110 inches (King Size)
Description: Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts bring to mind the Great Depression of the 1930's. We can imagine our own grandmothers busily sewing together one of these lovely quilts using scraps from her scrap basket. Such a quilt would be a cheerful reminder of colorful flower gardens; a much needed lift during hard times. This pattern had become very popular during the 1920s and continued to be a favorite for many years but very few new ones are made. There is a good reason for this. This is a very labor intensive quilt pattern, and magnificent king size quilt is truly a masterpiece.
Technique: Entirely quilted by hand using fine calico fabrics. Pieced by machine with precise accuracy - a rare find for this King sized quilt.
Fabrics: Fine Cotton Calico
Batting: Cotton
Price: $ 1200.00 U.S. + $25 Shipping & Insurance to Continental U.S. - Elsewhere: + Shipping & Insurance
