Maggie Weyers
Maggie was a weaver by profession. When she had a serious accident a friend who owned a quilt shop brought her fabrics, needle and thread and told her to quit whining. Her first piece was scissor cut, hand stitched and quilted with beads. That piece, she says, saved her sanity. By the time the surgeons were done with her she was hooked on quilting. That was 20 years ago. Since then she has sold the Glimakra draw loom and replaced it with an Innova long arm system. And yes, she still weaves.

Description: The pattern used for this quilt is a traditional nine patch. It has been designed with a bright color in the center square along with black-on-white and white-on-black prints. It has been quilted in purple with a rayon variegated thread.
If you wish to hang the quilt a sleeve is available by request.
Technique: Machine Pieced. Machine Quilted on Maggie's Longarm.
Fabrics: 100% Cotton
Batting: Hobbs 80/20 Cotton/Poly Low Loft
Care: Quilt must be washed in cold water to retain its colors.

Description: Maggie fell in love with the line of Olivia prints. Olivia was a pig, a really cute pig, but she was used in another quilt.The black print is of Olivia's clothing. “Maybe,” Maggie says, “I should have named this one Olivia's Fabrics. I love the bright contrasting colors.”

Description: This quilt pattern comes from Bonnie Hunter's web site and is used with permission. Bonnie uses nothing but scrap fabrics and she actually shops for used shirts at second hand stores. This quilt is made of many, many different plaid fabrics of good quality from quilt shops. There are no used shirts in it, Maggie promises. It has been quilted with red thread and is a bright happy piece.

Description: Really bright greens and purples were used to make this quilt. Maggie purchased groups of fat quarters in her comfort colors and says that the quilt was great fun to make. The quilting thread is lime green.
